Trump intentionally Lied about COVID Danger |
In his own words recorded by Bob Woodward, Trump said he knew in February that the COVID virus was deadly and that he intentionally lied repeatedly to us about the risk. He delayed taking action. He utterly failed as a leader to protect Americans. He is personnaly responsible for tens of thousands of deaths. He is personnaly responsible for millions of lost jobs and business failures. His inaction continues to be a major threat to our health and economy. |
Losers and Suckers |
The Atlantic Magazine reported that Donald Trump said people who have served and died in the military were "Losers and Suckers". Even Fox News corroborated the story. This is so disgusting but also so believable based on other things he has said Donald Trump is not qualified for his most powerful role as President -- the Commander in Chief |
Make America Proud Again! |
The MAGA politicians have not made us great. They defunded a $200-million pandemic early-warning program 2 months before Covid-19 hit. Their policies of hate, racism, and isolation are a disgrace to our country. Let’s make America proud, safe, sane, kind again. |
Donald Trump's Policies are Deadly |
Vote like your life depends on it! If you doubt this, consider 200,000 people who died from COVID mismanagement. Ask families of loved ones who died from inadequate, unafordable health care. Think of George Floyd. Do you doubt Trump could involve us in deadly military actions? |
Mr. Trump, You're Fired |
He should never have been hired. We had a chance to fire him after a very bad review/impeachment. His Republican enablers blindly kept him on and emboldened more bad performance. November is our chance to end this nightmare. |
Continue using race, hate, and fear to energize his base
Donald Trump knows his views don't represent America. His strategy is to be sure the minority that does support those views turns out to vote. Because only about half of eligible voters actually vote, this can be a winning strategy. He energizes the hate and fear of white supremacists by name calling, promoting lies about racial differences, banning Muslims, locking Hispanic kids in cages, and doing anything he can to limit immigration. Rather than trying to unify the country around common issues, he promotes division. |

Manage the next national emergency as well he has the COVID-19 pandemic
The Unites States, the most powerful, wealthiest country ever has less than 5% of the world's population and 25% of the deaths from the COVID-19 virus. This is largely the result of slow, incompetent, ignorant management by the Trump administration. Donald Trump is personally responsible for the death of tens of thousands of Americans. Initially Trump dismissed it as amounting to 15 cases that would soon disappear. He thought warm weather would end it in April. He missed the opportunity to take action early before it grew exponentially out of control. He has blamed Democrats, the media, China, WHO, and others instead of taking responsibility. In his own words... He has encouraged dangerous and counterproductive behavior such as using unproven drugs and avoiding masks. There will be another national emergency to manage. Trump would handle it as well as he has COVID.
Continue to weaken health coverage, especially for those least able to afford it
Nancy Pelosi's comment pretty much says it all “President Trump and the Republicans’ campaign to rip away the protections and benefits of the Affordable Care Act in the middle of the coronavirus crisis is an act of unfathomable cruelty," |
|
Continue to ignore science and treat climate change as a hoax
The president's absurd, politically motivated denial of climate change is very dangerous.
The
New York Times
has listed several of many steps he has taken to endanger future generations.
|
|
Appoint at least one supreme court justice and likely overturn Roe v. Wade
Trump has already appointed two conservative Supreme Court justices. With four more years he's certain to appoint at least one more. These are lifetime appointments that will impact American life for many years. With even one more conservative justice, it is likely that women's rights to make health decisions currently protected by the Roe v. Wade precedent will be eliminated or severly curtailed. There are many other important issues that could be endangered by a more conservative Supreme Court including DACA, LBGTQ rights, and immigration policies. In addition to Supreme Court appointments, Trump has already appointed hundreds of ultra-conservative judges to lifetime positions. |

Continue to alienate important allies vital to our security and world peace
America's alliance with the countries of western Europe has shaped the political world order in the 70 years following World War II. The strength of this alliance has been critical in maintaining peace and protecting both us and Europe. The US, as the most powerful military force in the alliance has also been its leader. Trump has said NATO is obsolete. He has disparaged Europen leaders. He has refused to stand by the mutual commitment to jointly defend any member from attack. As reported by the San Francisco Chronicle,
Rather than embracing the core purposes of the trans-Atlantic treaty — to build a defense network,
contain Russia in Eastern Europe and keep European countries focused on building a common future —
Trump has exacerbated the members’ divisions, weakening the alliance and its ability to keep Russia in check.
In fact, the US has become the laughingstock of the world because of Trump's antics. Just Google "europe laughs at trump".
Further expand income and wealth disparity with tax breaks for the wealthy
Trump's "tax reform" was not reform at all, but a gift to the wealthiest Americans. Here's a graph showing where the benefits went.
![]() You can see that the top 1% got $85 billion. The top 20% got $225 billion. The bottom 20% got $3 billion. The bottom 60% got $41 billion, less than half what the top 1% got and less than the benefit to foreign investors. There are estimates that the Trump family alone benefitted by a billion dollars. Overall, that's a lot of cuts and it went overwhelmingly to those who already had great wealth. Where did it come from? Increased national debt. How will it get repaid? Most likely by cuts in Medicare and Social Security. This kind of wealth and income disparity is just not sustainable. It further divides an already divided society. And the disparity is growing. |

Continue his love affair with despots like Putin, Xi, Kim, and Erdogan
Trump says he and Kim Jong Un just fell in love. But Kim is a vicious murderous dictator building nuclear weapons aimed at America. How can this be? There's a pattern here. Trump is very attracted to dictators all over the world. Perhaps because he wishes he were as powerful. Perhaps because they, as John Bolton says, play him like a fiddle with the praise and flattery he craves. In almost all cases, Trump has substantial financial interests in these countries. This means, again, that he's putting his personal interests ahead of American interests. This is very dangerous economically and militarily. NPR has an interesting article about this. Read it. You'll have a much better understanding of Trump's presidency. |

Complete the destruction of the traditional Republican Party
Just listen to columnist Eugene Robinson Let me summarize the Republican platform for the coming election: We are the party of white racial grievance. We believe those marching in Black Lives Matter protests are “thugs.” We see the term “systemic racism” as an unfair attack on white people. We support keeping Confederate monuments on their pedestals, and we have no idea why anyone would consider Confederate flags a problem. We are equal-opportunity racists. We see Latino immigrants as “bad hombres.” And we believe that using the racist term “kung flu” to describe covid-19 is hilarious, not least because we are convinced the covid-19 pandemic is basically over, anyway. Who cares what pointy-headed “experts” might say — we know in our hearts that patriotic Americans don’t wear masks. Those are some of the views Republicans endorse by uncritically embracing and supporting President Trump. He is leading his party down a sewer of unabashed racism and willful ignorance, and all who follow him — and I mean all — deserve to feel the mighty wrath of voters in November. |
|
Lie, lie, lie... | |
As of May 29, his 1,226th day in office, Trump had made 19,127 false or misleading claims, according to the Washington Post's Fact Checker. The real source of fake news is Trump's mouth. There is no point in listening to anything our president says as it is most likely a lie. This means he has no power to lead. And it means no foreign leader has any expectation to negotiate with him in good faith. This greatly weakens America as a world leader. |
|
A scary thought... | |
The incompetence, ignorance, lack of empathy, love of dictators, failure to address climate change, or to manage the COVID pandemic are just intolerable in an American president. But suppose he actually had to play his role as commander in chief and face a military threat. That's just too scary to think about. This very dangerous man simply must be removed in November. Do your part by showing up to vote. Get more people to vote him out by supporting one of these billboards. |
